U.S. Generation IV International Forum Chair Support
Sigma Science provides nuclear industry advisory and assistance services (A&AS) to the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE-NE). Sigma Science will provide services at various locations under the 5-year $49 million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract (May 2022-April 2027). A key task order under this contract includes the provision of Generation IV expert advice to DOE-NE leaders and managers. This advisory scope is being performed as needed from September 2022 through October 2023. This task scope calls for providing expert policy advice to the U.S. Generation IV International Forum (GIF) Chair. It also includes participation in and provision of expert advice and interpretations during staff meetings, GIF industry meeting participation, and support for the development and implementation of 2022 GIF Industry Forum. In addition to meeting participation, committee assignments, and events, our Sigma-provided policy expert Dr. John Kelly provides advice for Generation IV reactor technologies, multilateral international endeavors, industry engagement, and federal practices.
Past and present contract activities include:
- Participated in the GIF Forum in Toronto in October 2022.
- Participated in the GIF and Conference on Generation IV and Small Reactors (G4SR-4) organizing and planning committees.
- Consistent participation in U.S. leadership team meetings for GIF policy.
