Honeywell SCMC—Mission Support and Test Services, Nevada National Security Site

Sigma Science provides program management and engineering support to Mission Support and Test Services at the Nevada National Security Site. Sigma Science provides services under a $22 million 45-month contract awarded on January 1, 2021. Sigma Science is a small disadvantaged business prime contractor. The Sigma team includes Longenecker & Associates, Inc., and Turnkey Technical Services. The contract scope focuses on providing technical and professional services, including providing project managers and engineering design support personnel.

Key work scope includes:

• Provide project management support to the Enterprise Infrastructure Programs (EIP) Device Assembly Facility (DAF) Program Manager on facility upgrade projects. This includes DAF projects such as the Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) replacement, fire-suppression water tank replacement, and facility crane replacements.
• Provide engineering support for DAF and U1a mechanical, mechanical, electrical, and fire-protection system upgrade projects.
• Conduct facility walk-downs to support various DAF and U1a facility upgrade projects.
• Provide project management support to the EIP U1a Program Manager, coordinating and driving various facility upgrades, including the Shaft Landing Replacement Project, the utility water upgrade project, and ventilation project upgrades.
• Identify maintenance and spare part requirements for facility structures, systems, and components.
• Support the Mission Support and Test Services LLC Chief Strategist for site-wide project development and project, program, and facility integration.

Key accomplishments under this contract include::

• Led the DAF UPS upgrade project to completion.
• Provided project management support, which led to the initiation of construction activities related to the U1a shaft landing project.
• Provided technical and project management support for completing the U1a utility water project.
• Led activities on removing the first DAF crane identified for refurbishment and upgrade.
