Dr. Diane Hurtado currently holds the position of Associate Vice Chancellor for National Laboratories Management. In her role, Dr. Hurtado assists and advises the Vice Chancellor in execution of all Texas A&M System responsibilities as part of Triad, LLC in the operation of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), as well as System engagement with other National Laboratories. She serves as the primary liaison to the National Laboratories and coordinates the execution of Texas A&M System programs in support of National Laboratories including research grants, joint faculty/researcher appointments, graduate fellowships, undergraduate internships and delivery of academic degrees and continuing education. Dr. Hurtado coordinates the execution of safety response and rescue training, small-business-support course development, and numerous outreach programs for National Laboratories.

Dr. Hurtado has served in various roles at Texas A&M starting in 2001 including Associate Vice
President for Federal Relations, Director of Engineering Student Services and Academic Programs,
Research Initiatives Officer, and as a research engineer. Prior to her service at Texas A&M, she held engineering positions at Sandia National Laboratories, Lockheed, and Pratt & Whitney.

Dr. Hurtado received a bachelor and master of science degree in Aerospace Engineering and a
doctor of philosophy in Interdisciplinary Engineering, all from Texas A&M University.
